Job Chapter 15

Then Eliphaz spoke,
"If you are a wise man why do you talk like such a fool? You are full of hot air, for your reasoning is twisted and foolish. What good can come of the words you have spoken? Do you have no fear of God? No respect for the Almighty? For the sin in you is evident by the words you speak. Words of clever deception, your own mouth condemns you Job, not I, but you. Your spoken words testify against you.
Are you the wisest man ever born? Were you born before the hills? Have you heard the counsel of God? So that you, you alone are the only one to possess wisdom? What do you know that we don't know? What do you understand that we don't? Both the gray haired and the aged are among us, much older than your father.
Do the consolations of God mean nothing to you? Why do you speak so lightly of them? Why does your heart carry you away? For your eyes betray you. You have turned your spirit against God. Why else would you speak the way you do? Who are you that you claim to be so pure, you who were born of a woman to be so righteous? If God puts no trust in his saints and even the heavens filled with angels are not pure in his sight, how much less, man who is abominable and filthy who drinks sin like water.
I will tell you, listen to me Job, let me tell you what I have seen, what I have learned from wise men. For this wisdom has been handed down in full from their fathers and the fathers before to whom the land was given, when no alien walked among them. The wicked man withers in pain all the days of his life. For his years are filled with oppression. His ears harken to a voice of madness. What prosperity he has is soon devoured by the destroyer. He is afraid of the dark for certain that a sword is waiting for him. He wanders about searching for food, saying. 'Where is it?' He knows that a day of darkness awaits him. All his troubles and anguish fill him with fear, they overwhelm him, like a king ready for battle. For a wicked man shakes his fist defiantly against the Almighty. His actions run stubborn against the Lord with his strong will shielding his intentions.
Though the wicked man be fat with riches he dwells in desolate cities, the houses lay vacant destined to become ruins. He will not remain rich, his wealth will disappear and with it all his earthly possessions shall vanish. He will be forever in darkness the fire of God shall burn hot against him, and the Lord shall banish the wicked in a single breath. Let him not trust in futile things. May he stop deceiving himself. For futility shall be his reward. For before his time, disaster shall come upon him, his branch will not grow green he will drop to the ground like it withered grape, like an olive tree casting off it's blossom. For the man who has no godliness will be barren and empty. The fire of God shall consume all the fruits of their treachery. All they produce is trouble bringing forth futility. They give birth to nothing but wickedness.”
